Specific regulations in force at Voltige
This article is divided into two parts; the first is for regular jumpers and the second concerns all visitors and jumpers (tandem and regular) going to the Voltige skydiving school.
Regular jumpers
- All jumpers must be members in good standing of the ACPS. Voltige adheres at all times to the general safety regulations and recommendations of the ACPS.
- All jumpers with their own equipment must have a functional AED on their equipment if they have fewer than 200 jumps.
- When using school equipment , you must follow these requirements:
- Minimum opening altitude: 3,500 feet.
- No sharp turns below 1,500 feet.
- You must receive a safety check for all rental equipment, even if you have your solo license or A license.
- It is not permitted to reserve equipment for the day; it must be reserved for one jump at a time.
- « Freefly »: Please ensure that your equipment is safe for « freefly ». Consult an instructor or rigger.
- Altimeter and altimeter: Identification will be required. You will need to return the equipment after each jump.
- Jumpsuit: Jumpsuits are provided free of charge. However, please return them after each jump.
- The landing pattern, determined by the winds, must be followed. This pattern may change during the day, and it is your responsibility to request it before each jump.
- Any landing that takes place inside the visitor area (parking lot, picnic table) will result in an immediate meeting with an instructor, and the tradition regarding beer will be applied.
- Jumps can only be made if they have been declared and paid for in advance, unless an agreement has been reached with a person in charge of the declaration.
- All persons on board the plane must have a parachute on their back.
- All jumpers must comply with ACPS regulations.
- All visitors must comply with the regulations applicable to visitors .
Visitors and jumpers (tandem and regular)
- The landing area, boarding area, packing areas, and training area are reserved for skydivers only. Please respect the boundaries marked on the ground.
- It is forbidden to walk on the runway and on the aircraft taxiways.
- Smoking is prohibited in Voltige buildings, near fuel tanks, near folding areas, and while wearing Voltige equipment. Please use the ashtrays provided to extinguish your cigarettes and respect the posted signs.
- Since licensed skydivers are prohibited from consuming alcohol, we ask that you do not bring any alcohol to the jump site during operating hours.
- Drug use on the jumping site will result in the immediate expulsion of offenders without prior warning.
- The presence of pets is tolerated provided they are kept on a leash at all times.
- Camping in a tent is prohibited by the municipality of Notre-Dame de Lourdes. We would be happy to provide you with information about accommodation options over the phone .
- Campfires will only be permitted in predetermined locations and according to the fire risk factor.
- When you have a tandem harness on your back, it is forbidden to pull on it or alter the equipment.
