Introduction
The “A” CoP is the first level in the Certificate of Proficiency recognized internationally.
The holder of a Class A Certificate of Proficiency may:
- Participate in 2 way 1:1 relative work with a B CoP holder experienced in that discipline (minimum of 100 jumps and Coach 2 approval). (Note: with an additional three jumps coached by a Coach 2, A CoP holders may jump with another A CoP holder who also has the additional three coached jumps. Both must demonstrate safe separation and approaches, and have Coach 2 approval for each jump.)
- Participate in intentional night and water jumps, once briefed and signed off by an SSE as per section 3.17 (PIM 1).
- Verify by signature and CoP #, witnessed jumps by other certified skydivers
Note: Prior to participating in 2-way formation skydiving the individual must be in possession of the A CoP.
Prerequisites
Freefall Proficiency
Performed in freefall, a back-loop, front-loop and barrel roll on the same jump.
Performed the 5 jumps required for completion of the 2-way FS endorsement
Sport Canopy Endorsement A
- Completed the Sport Canopy “A” Endorsement
- Completed 10 self-guided, stand-up, safe accuracy landings to within 30 m of target.
- Under canopy, demonstrated a 360 front riser spiral (above 2000 ft)
- Under canopy, demonstrated a 360 rear riser spiral (above 2000 ft)
- Under canopy, demonstrated a rear riser flare (above 2000 ft)
- Under canopy, demonstrate a canopy stall and recovery (above 2000 ft)
- Technical Knowledge
- Completed the Main Packing Endorsement
- Completed the Emergency Procedures Review A
- Completed 25 jumps and accumulated 10 min FF time
- Achieved a pass mark of a least 80% on a written exam
Evaluations
The evaluations for this CoP are completed by the Signing Officer listed for the appropriate task. These requirements must be witnessed and signed in the logbook by the Coach/Instructor who has the proper rating. During processing of the application, the logbook entries are reviewed with special attention being paid to the specific practical qualifications for this certificate.
Practical Skills
All practical skills for this certificate must be achieved prior to writing the “A” CoP exam.

Introduction
The holder of a Class B Certificate of Proficiency may participate in:
- Group formation skydiving activities
- Group night jumps, once briefed and signed off by an SSE.
- A CSPA Coach 1 course
- A CSPA Rigger A course
Prerequisites
- Completed 15 – 2 ways since A CoP, in the horizontal configuration
- Performed a Figure 8 in the “on back” or “sit position” (+/- 45°)
- Performed a maneuver series, consisting of right 360 turn, left 360 turn, front-loop, backloop, right barrel roll, left barrel roll in less than 16 sec.
- Performed the 3 evaluation jumps and completed the Group FS endorsement
Sport Canopy Endorsement B
- Completed 10 self-directed accuracy jumps demonstrating line and angle control during a landing approach, and landing within 15 meters of target
- Completed the Sport Canopy “B” Endorsement
- Completed the Emergency Procedures Review B
- Completed 50 jumps and accumulated 30 min FF time
- Achieved a pass mark of at least 80% on the written exam administered by a CSPA Certificate Administrator.

How to Apply
Contact an SSE, so as to determine if requirements and qualifications have been met, prior to applying for a CoP. Each member group normally has at least one SSE.

Introduction
The holder of a “C” CoP may:
- Qualify for the position of DZ safety officer
- Qualify for an EJR, having met the prerequisites
Prerequisites
- Completed one of the following three tasks:
- 5 FS 4 way jumps with 5 or more completed formations within 35 sec of exit using a minimum of 4 different FAI formations per jump
- style Cross series in less than 13 seconds (Left turn, right turn, backloop, right turn, left turn, backloop)
- freefly series in less than 16 seconds (From the sit, back-loop, front-loop, 360 right turn, 360 left turn, cartwheel right, cartwheel left)
Canopy Proficiency
- Completed one of the following three tasks:
- less than 15 cm scored on an electronic scoring pad on 5 precision accuracy jumps
- 5 CF 4 way jumps with 4 rotations (5 points) within 2 min 30 sec of aircraft exit
- Performed 10 self-guided standup accuracy jumps within 10 meters of the target
Sport Canopy Endorsement C
- Sport Canopy Briefing
- Demonstrate Canopy skills appropriate for a C Cop
- Completed the Emergency Procedures Review C
- Completed 200 jumps and accumulated 60 min FF time
- Achieved a pass mark of a least 80% on a written exam

Emergency Procedures Review “C”
This endorsement will be tested by either written testing, verbal questioning and/or practical testing, or a combination of these.

Introduction
The holder of a “D” CoP may:
- Choose not to wear protective headwear, with the permission of the DZ Operator, as long as not in the Coach/Instructor role
- Participate in a CSPA Course Facilitator Training Seminar
Prerequisites
Completed one of the following three tasks:
- on 5 FS 4 way jumps, score 7 points within 35 seconds of using a minimum of 5 different FAI formations per jump
- on 5 FS 8 way jumps, score 7 points within 50 seconds from exit using a minimum of 5 different FAI formations per jump
- style series in less than 11.5 seconds, including penalties (Left turn, right turn, backloop, right turn, left turn, backloop)
- 2 way freefly with interactive camera consisting of exit move, spock, monkeyflip, spock, eagle, transition, dock, transition, dock, end move in 40 seconds or less
Canopy Proficiency
Completed one of the following threetasks:
- Completed 15 consecutive pre-planned canopy standup landings to within 2 meters of a target
- 5 CF 4 way jumps with 8 rotations within 2 min 30 sec of aircraft exit
- less than 5 cm scored on an electronic scoring pad on 5 precision accuracy jumps
Sport Canopy Endorsement D
- Completed 10 consecutive pre-planned canopy standup landings to within 5 meters of a target
- Demonstrate Canopy skills appropriate for a D Cop
- Completed 500 jumps and accumulated 180 minutes (3 hr) of freefall time
- Achieved a pass mark of a least 80% on a written exam

The evaluations for this CoP are completed by the Signing Officer listed for the appropriate task. These requirements must be witnessed and signed in the logbook by the Coach/Instructor who has the proper rating.
Practical Skills
The practical skills that are observed are meant to demonstrate competent ability in more than one discipline of skydiving.
Endorsements
There are no additional endorsements for the D CoP because all endorsements must have been completed and signed off for the C CoP.
